StockNewsBD.com /24 January — The new Index system will be started on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) from next Monday.Members of DSE took this decision today at their 731 th board meeting.According to the press release after the meeting, there will be two types of index available on DSE from Monday, 28 January.One will be the combined index of all listed companies of DSE, which will be called as “DSEX”.The other one will be a combined index of 30 selected companies called DS30.

StockNewsBD.com / 01 January —  Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) formed Investigation commission to inquiry rumor spread through mobile sms regarding the future price of Beximco and GBB Power.On Tuesday, regulatory board BSEC informed by DSE website that two different committee have been appointed to investigate the rumor spread through mobile sms in the last few days predicting the price hike of two companies, Beximco and GBB Power.

Recently, the upswing in share price of Beximco Limited and GBB power seems to have a link with those rumor which grabbed the attention of BSEC.In just five trading days started from 18 December, price of per share of Beximco gained almost 23.50%.While, on the other side in just five trading days started from 13 December, price of per share of GBB Power gained almost 17%.BSEC want to find out whether this was just a coincidence or any manipulation was behind the price hike of those two alleged companies.

SEC turned on the Surveillance Software today to prevent any trade manipulation.

StockNewsBD.com / 17 December — In order to prevent any illegal activities and trade manipulation regarding capital market, regulatory board Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) has turned on their own monitoring software today.Finance Minister AMA Muhith inaugurated the activities of the software on Monday noon.From now on, SEC will be able to get instant information of any deal or transaction of the market through this new monitoring software.As a result, all kinds of irregularities in transaction of the capital market will be reduced.Initially, SEC started gathering information using this new software from Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchanges and CDBL for experiment from 5 September.From 1st November, SEC starts to collect information directly from two stock exchanges during trade hour.    ——   Sumon Khan.

StockNewsBD.com / 31 October — Regulatory agency Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) increased the third quarter financial report submission time of listed Banks of capital market.A press release of SEC on Tuesday said,  banks will be allowed to submit their financial reports of third quarter of this year by 10 November, 2012.According to the rules, 30 September was the last date to submit their financial reports of third quarter.The executive director of SEC, Md. Anwarul Islam said, the time has been extended on request of Bangladesh Bank.According to the instructions of 27 September 2009, any listed company except Insurance company was bound to submit their financial report within 30 days after their third quarter ended.  —- Sumon Khan, Chief Editor.
