Any company can sell their share in placement but, no premium will be allowed.Chairman of regulatory organization, Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), professor M Khairul Hussain said this today in a conference held in Army Gulf Club in Dhaka.On Thursday, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) arranged a conference with all Authorized representatives of DSE in the Dhaka Army Gulf Club where SEC chairman professor M Khairul Hussain was the chief guest.In his speech, chief guest SEC chairman said, We have adopted right share issue policy and now working on a new placement policy in which, no premium will be allowed for placement shares.If the new policy implemented, then no company will be able to take any premium in placement.He addressed all Authorized representatives of DSE as pilot of the market and reminded them about their duty and liabilities for a stable and developing capital market.
DSE chairman Rokibur Rahman said in his speech, “We are trying our best to bring back the strength of the capital market.we want to build a transparent and healthy capital market that will contribute in the national economy.We need support from our Authorized representatives to make this happen, he added.
Among others, director of DSE Ahmed Iqbal Hasan, Ahsanul Islam, Minhaj Mannan Imon and CEO Mosharrof M Hosen also delivered their speech in the conference.
